do it for the process

Art is a nonstop process of inspiration, process, re-evaluating, until one day it finally all clicks together. The brush flows where it wants to all on its own, the colors guide you through shape and composition, and after losing yourself for hours, you take a step back, and you smile.

    • Observing nature

    • Studying artist I admire

    • Color blending and swatching

    • A sketchbook practice

    • Taking art classes

    • Experimenting with new materials

  • Behind every work are hours and hours of trials and errors. I mostly use my many sketchbooks to collect ideas, and sketch the landscapes I see in my mind.

    I have to use whatever moments life allows while working a full time job and raising my daughter. I’m proud that I get to model a create life to her, and she often co-scribbles throughout my sketchbooks or paints along side me. Those are moments that are part of the process, and I cherish them.

When buying from an artist/maker, you’re buying more than just an object/painting; you are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks & months of pure joy.
