Meet The ARTist

My name is Juliana Kroese. I create dreamy landscapes straight from my small home studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired by open spaces, I draw upon the colors, textures and shapes from my many outdoor adventures.

I was trained at the Royal Art Academy in the Hague, the Netherlands. I also work as a licensed physical therapist and certified yoga therapist at Barrow Neurological Institute.

As an artist, I find inspiration in the simplicity and beauty of everyday life. My work often reflects the intricate color, shape and textures of nature to evoke a sense of calm and serenity, while the play of light and shadow borrows one’s intrigue.

Capturing these landscapes becomes my meditation, as I move across the canvas and blend the rich textures of the oil paints.

Experimenting with different mediums and techniques is a vital part of my creative process, as it allows me to continually grow and evolve as an artist. Creating art is not just a passion for me, but a way of life, guiding me to see the world through a different lens.
